CONCERTS: Moistboyz rock!
Posted by Clint under Audio, Carolyn, Clint, Concerts, John The Canadien, Journal, Media, Music, ReviewsSaw Moistboyz play at Fletcher’s Bar (Baltimore) last night!
They rocked!
Of course, I felt bad from my hangover and could not drive either direction or drink. And even the 1 cigarette smoked during the show left me with a bit of a disgusted feeling.
Fletcher’s Bar was pretty cool though. I wish they’d answered their phone when we were calling around 7 to see when we needed to leave. Moistboyz didn’t come on until 11. They only played for 60 minutes!
I felt a little gyped, but it was good to finally see one of my favorite bands ever play!
Man that singer looks fucked up.
I’ll add the song list later when John The Canadien gives it to me.
And I am now the proud owner of a Moistboyz t-shirt, black, with “Moistboyz”, 2 rifles, and a Texas-longhorn-style skull on it. Moistboyz, guns, skulls. All things I like.
Set List:
- The Great American Zero
- That’s what rock N’ Roll Can Do
- The Tweaker
- U Blow
- Lazy And Cool
- Officer Please
- White Trash
- I’m Gonna Kick Your Ass
- 1.0 (Fuck No)
- Keep The Fire Alive
- The Year Of The Maggot
- Captain America
- My War (by Black Flag)
- Roy
- The Spike
- Fuck You

I got a shirt too.. It’s a yellow shirt with the Moistboyz IV album cover on it.
Kinda sucked to drive all the way to Baltimore, on 4 hours of sleep after a night of drinking and a day of working for a 60 minute show… And then having to drive all the way back from Baltimore…. but… still worth it…
and btw, I will never go to a concert without ear plugs again… They really enhance the experience for me. I learned it from Tabbitha.

it seemed as tho they were rushing thru their set. while there were some songs I would’ve like to see them play (GMA, RSB, and SHS) they certainly did cram enough songs into the 60+ mins. they played for. I also thought there would be more interaction between dickie and the audience. spraying the audience with a bottle of beer, and asking for a cigarette was about as lively as the conversation got. I also had problems hearing the vocals at points. I’m not sure if that was the guy running the soundboard, or if my hearing sucks. overall tho, I’m glad I went to the show b/c it’ll probably be another 4-5 years before they come back this way. cool t-shirts too!

I was there too. Show was typical short and powerful. Fletchers are a bunch of assholes in that they ripped the band off claiming they had to hire extra security and had to cover the costs. LAME! FUCK FLETCHERS.
