Okay, non-geeks might want to just stop reading now.   A lot of people probably haven’t heard about RSS, but it is a way to “subscribe” to “updates”.  They can be new news articles, new blog postings, new photo postings, new video postings, new comments on your blog — just about anything.

So me and Dave Oranchak started sharing some RSS feeds.  I subscribed to both his blogs.  Then I subscribed to the comments.  He subscribed to some of mine.  But he didn’t quite get ALL of mine.

We realized there was a problem: It’s hard to keep track of another feed.  What we need is a feed aggregator, I said.  Later on, he found one from Japan:  http://www.FrankenFeed.com

So I signed up and aggregated ALL of our feeds:

Now, our single feed is:

But — it doesn’t work when I try it.  It doens’t like the “&” in Clint & Carolyn.  And there’s no way to change your feed title.

So I must withdraw my endorsement of this. (3/30/2006)

What it supposedly would do would be to aggregates all of Carolyn & I’s feeds:

Now, people can pretty much monitor everything we do with a single RSS feed.

If you are a gmail user, click “Settings” then “Web clips” then remove all the default ones and put in ours.  Now your gmail inbox will monitor us quite closely!  And easily. . .
