[IMDB link] [doesn't seem to be on Netflix?! what gives?!] This movie is on 2 lists of movies we need to see: Time travel movies, and Anna Faris movies. Also, the rare intersection of science-fiction and comedy is always a treat (See also: Futurama!).
LIMERICK REVIEW: There once was a cynic and 2 nerds
who didn’t have great luck with the birds.
One found a time leak;
Saw a future quite bleak.
Such experiences cannot be summed with mere words.
HAIKU REVIEW: Five friends at a bar;
A cynic and 2 nerds drink
and mess up space-time.
UNCOMFORTABLE PLOT SUMMARY (inspired by this): [highlight for spoilers]→ Drunks piss away their fame.
PEOPLE: From a director who was once the floor manager (whatever that is) in the UK drug-addled Absolutely Fabulous series, and an unknown writer who’s never had a screenplay put to film. Starring Chris O’Dowd (The IT Crowd, The Boat That Rocked, Vera Drake), Marc Wootton, Dean Lennox Kelley, and the lovely Anna Faris (with multiple different hair styles!).
QUIRKS: British movie. Time travel. Science fiction. Comedy. Drunks. Future babes. Pretty much a perfect combination, except for the British part. The British angle does make it more unique; just harder to understand at times.
CONCLUSION: I’m not going to say too much about this movie, other than it was grade a lighthearted science fiction alcohol (takes place in a bar) comedy. This should be on everyone’s must-see list for lighthearted sci-fi time-travel bar-based comedy. And the ending is especially good. Make sure to stick around until after the credits are over!
RATINGS: Netflix: 4/5 stars. IMDB: 8/10. This was really good!
RECOMMENDATION: Anyone who likes Futurama should probably also like this, though the humor isn’t as smart.
SIMILAR MOVIES: Summer Time Machine Blues is another foreign comedic time-travel movie. But this one is a LOT easier to digest. This isn’t a “mindfuck” time travel movie; it is more based on the comedy.
Mood: Moodlessness

The opening of your post reminds me that Netflix still won’t list “The Red Machine,” about the Japanese enigma machine, yet either. It’s been on my todo list for over a year when the critics went crazy about it. I’m confused about why they don’t list some movies at all.
