CELL PHONES: Android Dev Demonstrates CarrierIQ Phone Logging Software On Video – Slashdot
Yup. Odds are your phone is reporting every keystroke you make and every text you make to a central data collection authority. Gee, you think the NSA won’t make thousands of requests for that data, the way they do with google accounts, cell phone CALLS, etc, etc?
You are paying more money than a landline to have less privacy. At least root your phone and remove this shit.
Apple doesn’t seem to use this package, most likely because they have their own in house data collection and warehousing.

LIARS: Newburgh police officer faces possible prison time in hit and run accident
Here’s the part that strikes me as interesting: The cop that lied was not charged with perjury, because The System really really hates doing that; it taints their testimony in current and future cases.
But the tow-truck guy who possibly only helped the cop after the cop flexed his authority at him — HE got charged with perjury?
What the fuck.
