I used to think, as a kid, freckles were ugly & unattractive.
But then I grew to realize they make one’s natural sexy 3-D real–world (non-JPG) curvature much more appreciable — and also at a greater distance.
Thus, they literally physically emanate sexiness in all directions.
[I also think the curves explanation might explain fishnet stockings.... Though I think fishnets translate to photography/2-D better, because they are orderly enough {when compared to freckles} to infer 3-D information from more easily than the psuedo-random pattern of freckles.]Mood: moodlessness

Thanks for the comments about freckles. As a bi-racial kid at mostly white schools I knew people who had – what I thought to be these adorable reddish-pink freckles. These cute freckles sometimes came with gorgeous red hair or creamy pale skin. Yes, I was envious. Sometime around my 10th birthday after a long summer at the beach daily I noticed these odd brown dots appearing on my nose and cheeks. I ran to my mother in tears asking “What are these brown specks on my face? How did they get there?” My mother smiling with a glint of humor in her voice said “Sweetie those are freckles”. I was shocked, “But, but… Freckles are orange.” Once again my unbelievably smart mom gave me the perfect answer “Lisa, they are special freckles. Your freckles are little chocolate chips”. Now, I wear my chocolate chips… Oops freckles with a smile.

Hehe, no problem.
I imagine “That’s just your 3-D wireframe model showing” wouldn’t have gone over nearly as well :)

Freckles ARE sexy…

I assume freckles are 3-D depending on what sort of recreational drug is being used. And maybe I didn’t quite understand your post from the photographic standpoint. I am not sure I could find a noticeable depth of field shooting someone with freckles to create a 3-D effect. Maybe with a bit of photoshop, a tad bit of unsharp mask and several layers… freckles would shout 3-D.
As a freckled person, makeup hides and conceals.
Wearing fishnets… Appear 3-D to men maybe?
Are you capturing the beauty of freckles in your vast library of photos?

Nah, not really. I photograph to remember things, not really to capture beauty.
My point is that dimension is easier to see with reference. Fishnet stockings are sexy, and it’s not because I like the pattern, but because it disambiguates the curves such that they can be experienced more fully, even in 2 dimensions (photography/2D takes away so much that you get from being there in the real world, but some stuff can add it back, and anything with a grid pattern will do that).
Keep in mind I’m pretty much approaching this from a technical viewpoint.
But in real life, people are actually 3-d, so freckles are too :) But they make the 3-d’ness easier to perceive fully at a greater distance. If that makes sense. Which it just may not to people… :D

Be as technical or nerdy as you want. I am a camera geek with a education in TV Production. So, I understand a lot more than _____ may think.

I can’t even sign up for an Instagram account because they only let you do it on a cellphone.
