Jeremy T: i don’t think it’s extremely puzzling… it’s a way for men to get away from all the machismo and aggression that so often characterizes interaction between males. it appeals to men who are tired of posturing and pretending they’re too cool and tough to have feelings.
i see no necessary overlap with homosexuality. in fact i bet there aren’t that many gay bronies, because homosexual men already have plenty of other socially acceptable ways to be emotionally vulnerable.
