Hm…according to that Salary website, most people my age, in my type of career, make $98,000 a year? ;P

Well… Perhaps you define your job description correctly, or perhaps you are very underpaid. :)

I put “computer programmer”, event though I don’t actually do any programming anymore. Some web development programming (JavaScript, ActionScript), but I was hired for a skillset that has not really been employed in my current job. I stay because they pay me well.

Anyway, PayScale was only 4% low in its estimate of my salary. And I just got a 7% raise so it would have been only 1.02% off before my raise…

Heh, I don’t know; I find it hard to believe that most 25 year olds in a position like mine would make more than even 80K a year. I know people 5 years older than I am who make less than 50K, in office jobs.

That said, it’s possible I didn’t put in all the most accurate answers. They didn’t seem to know where or who my college was and kept asking me “Are you sure this is accurate?” Eh. *shrug*

I think maybe I just dreamed up my entire college experience while on a soma vacation. I could have experienced 4 years within a night’s sleep. It would explain a lot….

Yes, I do. Downloaded it ~2 years ago. Never really tried it.

Ur-Quan Masters isn’t the only new adaptation of Star Control. I found at least two, back when I looked ~2 years ago.

I just went back and beat “The Ur-Quan Masters” (Windows port of Star Control 2) again. I go back and play through the game once every few years… it’s still fun to this day. I actually owned a copy of Star Control 1… my dad got it for me for Christmas one year. I think he just chose the game randomly while shopping for gifts, but that’s how I found out about the series.

Clint! I challenge you to a game of Super Melee! Load the newest version of Ur-Quan Masters and I’ll bring my Playstation2-to-USB adapter with controller, you pick your controller of choice, and we battle! Half of super-melee wasn’t only piloting/controlling the ships well, it was knowing which ships to pull out at which times. I cannot go into details, as it will give away a key aspect of my strategy.

    Greg, I accept your challenge.

My controller of choice is the keyboard, assuming it is not shared.

    I’m rusty.

Also, I prefer random play. It’s not knowing which ships to pull out at which times; it’s being able to win no matter what the combination is.

A victory based on random assessment will impress me a lot more than non-random. Because I could chalk your victory as simply being a better choice in ships while still claiming superior motor skills.

    The only true way:

    2 armies.
    Random selection.
2 games: each plays with each army once.
take differential of final points to determine victor.
