25 years in prison for possessing pills that you have a legal prescription for. Arrested, assaulted, tasered for flying a flag upside down. Fined $100 for throwing trash in a trash can (that’s littering, y’know!). This is the sick sad world we live in. Totalitarianism is spreading.

58 vicodin pills. That he had a prescription for. But in Florida, a “prescription defense” is not legal! What the fuck!?!?!?!?!?This type of shit happens all the time.

It’s funny that police just earlier that week told them it was okay to fly the flag upside-down.The “man in fatigues” angle is interesting too.
But this type of stuff is disgusting. It is completely unamerican to arrest people for expressing their view

OVERLY-HARSH PUNISHMENTS: Put trash in a trashcan, get fined $100 for littering
I knew the UK was crazy like this, but New Zealand too?Let’s face it, people. Totalitarianism is spreading across the entire planet, incrementally, millimeter by millimeter, in nearly every possible facet of society.
This is just another example.

UPDATE: In a rare stroke of good justice, Richard Paey, the wheelchair-bound Florida pain patient sentenced to 25 years in prison as a drug dealer for seeking desperately-needed medications, may be a free man by the time you read this.

Gov Crist heard Paey’s appeal for clemency. The state commission had recommended against granting time-served, but instead Crist granted him a full pardon and ordered that he be released immediately.
Crist allowed Paey’s attorney, John Flannery to speak for 30 minutes — the usual time limit is 5 minutes.
Crist: “I want to move that we grant a full pardon… We aim to right a wrong and exercise compassion and to do it with grace,” the governor said.
