  That’s right. If you rip your own purchased CD to your iPod, harddrive, or other player, Sony considers it that you stole the song.They want you to re-buy your music for every device you listen to it on.

  Fuck that. Stop buying cds. Don’t support them.

• CORPORATIONS, RELIGION, ABUSE OF AUTHORITY: Chevron’s Pipeline Is the Burmese Regime’s Lifeline

  In light of the recent “purging” of monks in Burma, I think everyone should stop buying gas from Chevron for a little while. Chevron is grandfathered in and exempt from sanctions against Burma. So do the sanctions really mean that much, or is it for show?

• CARTOONS: Family Guy getting sued again, due to their parody of “When You Wish Upon A Star” called “I Need A Jew” (in the episode “When You Wish Upon A Weinstein”)

  Um…. I’m sure the plaintiff lawyers know that Weird Al exists because parody is considered fair use, and is protected. I’m thinking the lawyers know they are going to lose, but will laugh their way to the bank with Bourne Co’s money in hand.
