Read up on Asperger’s Syndrome at WikiPedia, if you don’t already know what it is. I just took a 171-question quiz. Apparently, I am average, although it is pretty clear that in every category (especially “Talent”), I leaned slightly in the Aspie direction. That is, for almost every section, my neurotypical score was lower than my Asperburger score. UPDATE: 20100201: The test now has a version 2, so I took it again. I will place my new results below the old results.
Your Aspie score: 100 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 96 of 200
You seem to have both Aspie and neurotypical traits
Version 2:
Your Aspie score: 106 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 107 of 200
You seem to have both Aspie and neurotypical traits.
Do you have Asperburger’s Syndrome? Take the survey HERE and find out.

Neurotypical talent 5.1 Average

Environmental problems 5.0 Average
Your Aspie score: 100 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 96 of 200

NOTE that the quiz allowed me to answer things on a 0,1,2 scale. The first number is my number, the 2nd is what Aspies choose on average, and the 3rd is what neurotypicals choose on average. In looking at most individual questions, I almost always chose the “aspie” answer, yet the test says overall I dont’ have it. That observation in and of itself is interesting to me — where’d I go wrong?? :)

October 30, 2007 at 4:16 PM
Yeah, it looks like I am, Clint! O_o
My results did sort of creep me out, if this test is really accurate. I always thought it was weird how people could continue conversations even with loud noises happening in the background (whether at a restaurant, a movie, at home, etc)–if I hear a strange noise, I basically have to focus on it and figure out what it is until I can really focus on anything else. Heh.
A lot of their questions did seem to more be speaking of “introvert types”, though, rather than those with Asberger’s. I mean, lots of personality books will say that introverts get drained from prolonged social interaction, and that they typically prefer to work alone instead of in a team, etc.
October 30, 2007 at 5:42 PM
Yea, I am distracted by noise a lot too, which is why it’s very important for me to have music going almost 24/7.
Introvert/extrovert is actually how you get your energy — from the outer world of people and things, or the inner world of thoughts and ideas … There can be sociable introverts, and extrovert loners. I don’t think that’s quite what they were measuring. Many Aspies are apprently quite social, they are just awkward about it..
October 30, 2007 at 6:01 PM
My score was 77/200 aspie, 123/200 Neurotypical. I wish I had saved the link to the graph.
Kinda intersting, how the two scores add up to exactly 200, but no one else’s does. Must have been a concidence. But then again, I answered yes, to the question about seing patterns in things.
October 30, 2007 at 6:38 PM
HokieTT-those questions/answers you highlighted I answered in the same way you did!
(especially the patterns thing….definitely. It’s almost obsessive on my part)
Clint–you’re right, someone could get their energy from being alone a lot, but still deal with social situations very well. (I think I fall somewhere in the “introverted but enjoy being around friends too.”

@carolyn:
I had 1 “don’t know”. “Do you tap your ears or press your eyes (e.g. when thinking, when stressed or distressed)?”. Really, I don’t know, it’s not something I particularly pay attention to. I know I don’t tap my ears, but I MIGHT press my eyes.
October 31, 2007 at 8:51 AM
I didn’t have any “I don’t knows” to be honest.

I definitely have a lot of traits of AS. I do have strange problems with relating to people and tend to withdraw into my own world. The results from this type of quiz aren’t the best way to diagnose anything though.

Well I work at a healthcare company and the web developer / online marketing. I seen a small survey I failed at – Then hit Wikipedia – Then WrongPlanet.net & finally your site. After taking your test I am now CONVINCED I AM AN ASPIE.
Aspie score: 137 of 200
non score: 60 of 200
You are very likely an aspie
Do other Aspie adults here go to therapy or just deal with it??????

Your Aspie score: 173 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 42 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie
A friend talked to me about this syndrome casually. And while we talked I felt so identified with the stuff he was saying so I looked it up on the internet and kept saying: “Wow…that’s been happening to me too since I was such a young child”. It all made sense all of a sudden, so I took the test and it said 173. Again, so many things make sense now…
I’m 21 and just discovered it, I may look for some psychological help or something so I can try and cope with these issues now that they have a name. My relationships (friendships and romantic) usually never last because of this. So I’m really interested in getting to know myself better now that I have this Aspie thing and verify if I can finally get along a bit better with the neurotypical.
Do you know any book or anything you might recommend me?
January 11, 2010 at 8:29 AM
Nope, sorry! But I’m sure there’s a lot of stuff out there.

[…] PERSONAL: I re-took the rdos.net "Do you have Asperger's Syndrome?" test, since there … Click this link to see my results; I simply updated the original blogpost where I originally posted this, since it's one of my more popular posts. I scored "halfspie" as usual; half neurotypical, half Aspergers. But the new infographic is much more informative. (tags: personal Clint surveys Asperger'sSyndrome blog posts) Leave a Comment […]

INTPs are good people. You just can’t rely on them to maintain your friendship, ’cause they’re introverts :)
February 26, 2010 at 9:56 PM
But she’s INFP, are they good people too?! :)
February 26, 2010 at 9:57 PM
Damn, I’m having a lot of clerical errors today.
I get along very well with INxPs in general. Just keep me away from S’es, and to a lesser extent J’s, and for the most part I’m happy.
February 27, 2010 at 1:01 AM
Well I got INTJ on my most recent test, so you can avoid me to a lesser extent, hehe.

Interesting. Your graph doesn’t seem to match the score at all…. That’s very odd.
And they added a guess at Myers-Briggs type? Weird. I’m an ENFP, usually. I wish I could feed my old JPG url into it and have it tell me its MBTI based on that data without having to take that huge quiz a third time :)
February 26, 2010 at 9:55 PM
Those are Johny’s results. His score matches the graph perfectly as far as I can tell.
February 26, 2010 at 9:56 PM
Weird, it looks right now. It was the same link when I clicked it before, but it was a graph that had it all on the left/nuerotypical side. Carolyn saw me do it, too. Very weird.
Looks right now.
I guess something happened, and then it stopped happening:)

I am Gary. These are the results for myself. I have Aspergers. I am 40 years old.
Results like these are indicative but should not be relied upon. If you have results like these then seek formal diagnosis. If you reject labels do not seek formal diagnosis. A formal diagnosis is not important. It is more important to understand Neurotypical expectations/behaviours and how they differ.
My diagnosis was a relief. My diagnosis finally explained ME to ME. I could then explain ME to Others.
This has been helpful for the others.
Here are my results:
Empathy Quotient
http://glennrowe.net/baroncohen/empathyquotient/empathyquotient.aspx
Your score: 8
0 – 32 = low (most people with Asperger Syndrome or high-functioning autism score about 20)
33 – 52 = average (most women score about 47 and most men score about 42)
53 – 63 is above average
64 – 80 is very high
80 is maximum
—————-
Aspergers Quotient Test 1
http://www.aspergerstestsite.com/75/autism-spectrum-quotient-aq-test/
My AQ Test Score is: 44.
According to statistical analysis, 26 – 31 Is a borderline score and 86% of people with 26-31 can be correctly classified as having Aspergers Syndrome.
The official criteria for Aspergers Syndrome is an AQ score greater than 32.
