I got my first hate blogpost (by someone who, in his blogger profile, says “About me: I’m a pig”), AT&T can now get every IP address you visited in 40 lines of code, touching a cop’s badge when he wont give you his badge number will get you permanent nerve damage, whatever you do — don’t play craps and accidentally make an invalid arrest, or you’ll be charged with a 10-year felony!, Who the fuck actually cares about online virtual pedophiles in SecondLife? It’s not real life! University of Delaware implements policy literally saying “ALL white people are racists, and people of color cannot be racists”, Is it Christmas (with RSS feed)? And a nice article by Michael Vail on the TECHNOLOGY WAR.

A guy is trying to sell shitty paintings making fun of conspiracy theorist Alex Jones. In an obvious attempt to drive traffic to his site, he leaves a pithy comment about Alex, responding in no way to the blog I wrote. So I didn’t approve his comment and wrote him an email designed to annoy him. It worked!

From the company that cooperated the most with the NSA’s illegal spying requests.

ABUSE OF AUTHORITY: Woman slammed against car by S.J. police officer wins appeal
William Foster is a pig who would not give his badge number (legally required).
She “touched his badge slightly”, making it okay for the cop to give her permanent nerve damage.
Actually it didn’t–she just won $100,000. But the arrest for battery stands. -
Imagine you try gambling, aren’t very good at all the rules in craps, and place an invalid bet.Now imagine your life being ruined by the process, even though the casino came out ahead, money-wise.
Now imagine having to waste time in a lawsuit.

How many people shot up ducks after playing Duck Hunt?Anyway, I’ve heard countries that allow posession (but not creation) of child porn actually have LOWER molestation rates.
Then again, the real variable is probably how Catholic your country is :)

I appluad their intent, but they took it way too far. They must learn from a booklet, and I quote:
“racist is one who is both privileged and socialized on the basis of race by a white supremacist (racist) system. The term applies to all white people …” -
POINTLESSNESS: Is it Christmas?.com – Most pointless website ever?
It just returns the word “NO”, centered.AND IT HAS AN RSS FEED.
So you get the word “NO” in your reader, every day.
Just…. wow.

And yes, this is an abuse of authority because an officer still has police powers even when off-duty, and are far more likely to pull shit like this off than a non-officer. Did he arrest the guy peeing? Nope.

Michael Vail does a good job in capturing my own personal sentiment RE: the technology war that is currently going on. This is a species-level phenomenon that I have been observing for quite some time now: Technology more likely to hurt, than to help.

Abuse of authority:
We’ll I was actually going to let this one slide, but since you mentioned it: ….
He he, just kidding.
Since other officers got involved, I agree with you on this one.
However, according to the article, it was the officer who was grabbed from behind, not the man urinating.

“SecondLife: Pedophiles lure kids in virtual online world – UK and other areas to consider banning ‘virtual’ child porn – They are scared someone might imitate the game. In reality, having an outlet for unhealthy urges makes sane people LESS likely to do.”
I tend to agree with your logic here. This same argument was brought up again and again about Grand Theft Auto. So many people seemed to view it as one of society’s greatest threat or something, like it caused people to be violent…and I’ve actually known people who have said, “actually, after I play GTA for a few hours I’m more calm than anything else! All my frustration is gone!” Heh.

Ahh Jacob Kreist, I’m pleased to see you’ve checked up on me, but you never did answer my sensible questions that I left you on your own blog.

Come visit us on Google Groups alt.religion.wicca and check out Sidney Lambe’s posts. Is this the same posting style as Jacob Kreist’s? If it is, you can harass him back on the newsgroup.

Heh. Jacob Kreist’s blog has been removed, but mine remains! MUAHAHA.
