So a friend was talking about this guy he knows who has a REALLY old cat, that is just constantly suffering and really should be put to sleep. I tend to agree, except that it irritates my sense of freedom a bit. Maybe the animal would prefer to live anyway? Or maybe it’s wishing for death? (Of course, there are other options…)

So my idea for feline assisted suicide is:

A slide. A slow slide with a Y-adapter in the middle, going to two different destinations. A slow slide; Slow enough that a cat could almost run back up it. Slow enough to decide which way to go.

One side leads to a cozy cat bed. The other side leads to flames. Let the cat decide.
