My dreams have been disturbing me lately! Usually I only remember dreams 3-4 times a year, but since I am currently interrupting some of my normal habits, my dreams are coming out in full force. And while I don’t really like them that much, they are fun exercises in psuedo-reality, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. (Well, maybe they could have more sex and sexy blondes? Haha.)

I had some dream that there was an X-Day like event full of SubGeniuses. But it was in a normal house (in the boonies) with a big field; not a huge camping place like Brushwood. It went on for days. Somehow I managed to piss everyone off to the point that I had to flee. I went to a movie theatre, and ran into more SubGeniuses there. They started to heckle me. I pushed one. She rolled down the isle. As in, she uncontrollably flipped, hitting her head/spine/back/legs over and over and over again all the way to the front of the theatre. I was positive she was injured, possibly mortally. I started to walk briskly to get out of there before the police arrested me for assault/murder. Not good. The funny thing is… In real life, as groups go, SubGeniuses are the group least likely to have a problem with me out of any group I can think of. So this dream was the antithesis of reality. But I was having an emo night anyway, and it bled into my dreams.

I dreamed I was walking down a high school, and one of my computer desks was in a classroom. I noticed a policeman opening up a hidden compartment and pulling out a bag of weed from it. In real life, I don’t even know which desk it was, and have no such hidden compartment. Suffice to say, I ended up going into hiding over this. I was in the woods, with campers. something like X-Day. Later, I was trying to sit on this hill, and it kept raining. The rain made the hill wash out, and I started to fall down the hill due to lack of earth underneath me. Except I kept sliding for like TWO HOURS. Finally I was in the river. Someone rescued me. Later, the police found me in the woods. Rather than run, I climbed up very high in trees. Somehow, I was still covering ground in the trees, despite me not being a monkey in real life and not actualy able to jump from tree to tree. Very weird dream. What’s with all these police trying to get me in dreams? Auugh!!

yard sale Awoke around 9AM after 5 hrs sleep, told Carolyn “get up! chop chop!”, and went yardsaling, plus a trip to Fischer hardware, arriving back home around 2PM. Decent day, though it if wasn’t for this professionally-run estate sale, our take wouldn’t have been nearly as good.

And what’s with all the Christian stuff at yard sales this week? It’s like people have lost their faith in their gods due to the economy. So they sell it. Haha.

Total money spent was $46.50, counting an estimated $9 of gas (~45 miles). Only $9 was spent on stuff we actually needed (jeans, spatula, light bulbs).

Estimated value of our take is $163.30. In total, we “made” $163.30 for $46.50, a profit of $117.8 for about 4 hours work. That’s $14.75/hr per person, or $29.45/hr as a couple. Almost as good as last week. Remember: To take $117.80 (our profit) home from a job, you would have to earn about $168 before taxes. Things are so much nicer without the government stealing 1/3rd!

  • $6: jeans, 2 pair, used but in my size (EV:$10, because they were used)
  • $5: frame, glass, with cat-prints and phrases etched/engraved/put on the glass ($14.50)
  • $4: tote (EV:$9)
  • $3: jewelry/necklass hanger, form of a headless chick in lingerie ($13)
  • $3: phone, generic – we always stock up on these because it seems you always eventually need one, like when our upstairs phone broke last week. But contact cleaner fixed it! ($8)
  • $2: purse, medium-small, black, leather, NineWest (EV:~$25)
  • $2: cake pan set, for checkerboard cake, Chicago Metallic brand ($13)
  • $2: light bulbs, candelabra: 2 4-packs (1 missing) (EV:$5.50)
  • $1: fan with built-in water misting – “Squeeze Breeze” ($12)
  • $1: Seinfeld: framed Kramer painting (glass frame cracked, and I promptly broke it). NOT the Kramer painting from the show. (EV:$10)
  • $1: Joe Versus The Volcano dvd ($8 @ Amazon)
  • $1: food: blueberry muffin mix ($2.80)
  • $1: baby powder, Johnsons (22oz) – needed for our pool table ($5)
  • $1: wood scratch cover, Old English – I’d bought this exact same bottle and used it all up before! ($5)
  • $1: candle, spherical, glowy design (EV:$8, but we once paid $20 for this at the mall in the 1990s)
  • $1: ice scraper, full-length with-brush “deluxe” style (EV:$1.50, not much of a deal but Carolyn’s just broke this winter)
  • $0.50: sprinkles, Safeway – 6 kinds of spinkles… yum! (EV:$3)
  • $0.50: sign, wooden, 8″x4″: “Proprietor not responsible for behavior when intoxicated” (EV:$2)
  • $0.50: sign, wooden, 24″x7″: “This is a high class place. Act respectable.” funny sarcastic saloon-type sign(EV:$5)
  • $1 $0.50: spatula, plastic (EV:$1, same as we paid — but we need one and it’s in good condition)
  • $0.25: toy, car, Mario from Mario Bros (EV:$2)
