Yes, religion causes this. Chilling pictures.
Wow. Could the hospital have possibly fucked up more than it did? Treating an accident victim so badly that he and his wife feel he has to leave the hospital for his own safety?
And then security guards William Reese and Donovan Scott thought it was acceptable to (allegedly) assault a patient? To deliberately try to inflict more injuries on someone who came there fore lifesaving care? Could they BE more idiotic?
And then the hospital wouldn't let him go with the incorrect ID bracelet — probably because they didn't want to have evidence of their wrongdoing enter a courtroom. That should be considered evidence tampering and witness intimidation. This should become a criminal issue.
$12.7M lawsuit. That's the only way they'll listen. PATIENTS HAVE A BILL OF RIGHTS: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Patients%27_Bill_of_Rights — You can refuse treatment. It's YOUR body, and YOUR freedom. (Oh wait – the Democrats haven't been able to get this bill passed, even with majority control…)
Now we're in trouble; the circuit courts don't agree with each other. This is going to have to go to the supreme court — and that's scary.
Protecting and serving you, by taking your tax dollars and spending them on killing you. First, they took away guns from people who needed to defend themselves. Then, after those people ran out of supplies, they had the authority to shoot them if they tried to "loot" more supplies. The government protecting and serving. You think this is how it would have gone down in an affluent, all-white area? Hell no.
We're failing as a country.
