VIDEO: MOVIES: REVIEW: Siblings (2004)

Clint: 3/5 stars, 7/10.
Carolyn: 3/5 stars, 7/10.
Native ratings: 6.5/10 IMDB. Not available on Netflix.

This was an interesting Christmas choice! A completely subversive christmas message counter to all the bullshit family movies that are usually forced down our throat this time of year.

This is one you want me to spoil the premise of, beucase you’ve never heard of it, it’s not on Netflix, and you likely will never watch it anyway.  And I think the spoiler is in the actual 1-line IMDB summary.  I.E. You’re supposed to know what happens before going on. So here we go.

This is a movie about 4 siblings whose cool grandfather dies, so they kill their FUCKING ASSHOLE parents. Seriously… Their parents are just awful. Incredibly awful. In every imaginable possible way. They don’t dwell on the awfulness too much: Just enough to establish that each parent is a total piece of shit to at least 2 of the 4 kids.  Most of the movie is focusing on the siblings. Ergo the title.

This is listed as a black comedy, and that is definitely true. It’s mostly not funny — and you don’t really laugh out loud — but the way everything works out is slightly uplifting in a dark, morbid way. Sometimes murder is good.  Sometimes killing your parents is good. Merry Christmas.

You don’t smile much when watching the movie. It’s more of a cringer. But you smile at the end. That’s what counts. While not  THAT spectacular, it holds interest, and celebrates the Christmas spirit. Sort of.

While not our favorite movie, I still sort of think it is a must see for anybody who likes morbid subversion of christmas holidays sprikled with a little murder.

Merry Christmas.

ABUSE OF AUTHORITY: RAW: Dallas Cops Shoot Unarmed Mentally Ill Man Standing in the Street!!

Even if the guy had a knife and lunged at the cops, they should still be tried for murder.  A trained professional can do nothing but kill a person in the easiest possible way? These are not heroes, these are cowards.

GUNS: Analyzing shooting rampage statistics after Newtown school Shooting

Average deaths in a shooting rampage when stopped by police: 14.3
Average deaths in a shooting rampage when stopped by civilians: 2.3.

It should be noted, though, that that includes unarmed civilians.

So really, a civilian actually doing something reduces the average from 14.3 to 2.6 — 11.7 people saved on average. Them being armed only saves 0.8 lives a shooting (1 life every 4 out of 5 shootings).

The point being: Doing something is better than doing nothing, and waiting for the police is what will give you the lowest odds of surviving. And if someone is going to be a hero – they will a better job at doing so if they have the tools available.

ABUSE OF AUTHORITY: Deputy Shoots Fleeing Jaywalker Jonathan Cuevas 4 Times In Back, then walks up and finishes him off [VIDEO INCLUDED]

Yup. Jaywalking = death sentence. You can see it in the video. A man running away is not a threat, and certainly a man that’s been shot in the back 4 times is not a threat either.

Supposedly they found a gun on him, but there were none of his fingerprints on him. Doesn’t matter if he did have a gun — carrying a gun is our constitutional right.

Imagine how much more this happened before we had surveillance cameras everywhere — back when the violent crime rate was higher than it is today.

Isn’t it funny how the cop’s name is protected from the public, but people who are arrested are a matter of public record? One set of laws for us, another set of laws for them.

ABUSE OF AUTHORITY: Kelly Thomas video: Homeless man beaten and tasered to death as he cried for help

Freshly released: Actual video of police killing a homeless man. The video is FORTY MINUTES IN LENGTH, with TWENTY MINUTES OF BRUTALITY.

If 6 officers couldn’t take this guy down in less than 20 minutes, none of them deserve to keep their job.

For once, the pigs are actually charged with murder and manslaughter. But wait. Only 2 of the 6 officers were actually charged. Seems to be that if you mindlessly dogpile onto an existing situation, you’re just fine. They never charge everyone who actually did it.

“I just started smashing his face to hell” -one of the officers

POLICE STATE: Police union gives payments to officers involved in fatal shootings

Yes people — there is a literal bounty on our head. When you wonder if that cop is going to shoot you, just be reminded that he’ll get paid $300 to $500 if he does kill and shoot you.  As if the pigs need more incentive to  shoot people. This is ridiculous.

Anyone paying a modicum of attention has  seen how bounties in Afghanistan resulted in innocent people sent to Guantanamo for years (and not released for years even after the government realized they were innocent).

The amazing thing is all the comments supporting this practice. A literal bounty on the head of taxpayers. Shoot us and you get a reward. Our tax dollars at work. PUBLIC unions at work.

OBAMA ADMINISTRATION: Attorney General Holder Says Murder Is Legal –

To those who said that NDAA would not be applicable to American citizens…

To those who said that because the law did not modify previous law, it meant that Americans could not be assassinated…

To those who defended the Obama administration, and his appointee, Eric Holder…

…Here is our attorney general directly arguing that assassinating american citizens without judicial oversite is perfectly constitutional.

You see, existing law never needed to be modified. Just clarified by Bush’s actions and Obama’s legitimization of those actions.

And here is our attorney general directly saying it.

There’s no denying it.
